Many
surgical procedures require incisions, including facelift,
eyelid surgery and brow lift. A new laser technique developed
by Dr. Sachs allows these incisions to virtually disappear.
Within 7 days of removing the stitches, depending upon
the area involved and the rate of healing, an extremely
thin (pencil thin) line of the coherent CO2 laser is used
to lightly erase the incision line. Lasering the incision
line actually prevents a scar from forming. This "Laser
Erase" procedure is a one time only technique that
banishes incision lines from sight with a zap of light.
Redness usually lasts about 1-2 weeks.
