A forehead lift or brow lift is a procedure that restores a more youthful refreshed look to the area above the eyes. Age, sun exposure and gravity often produce a decent in the normal position of the eyebrows. Stress and muscle over activity, in an attempt to elevate the position of the brows, contribute to forehead wrinkling and an aged look. The procedure restores drooping brows to a more natural and youthful position and smoothes the horizontal lines and furrows that can make a person appear angry, sad or tired. The procedure overall provides a fresher, more rested appearance to the eyes and face.

An endoscopic forehead lift is performed utilizing a video camera and special micro instruments that are manipulated through 2-3 small incisions. If a facelift is performed as well then these instruments can be guided through the routine facelift incisions. The muscles that produce wrinkles are cut and the deeper tissues are re-suspended, restoring the brows to a smoother, more youthful appearance.

A direct brow lift is a far simpler and less complicated procedure than the endoscopic lift and yet provides an ideal result. A small incision is made directly in the upper part of the brow lift removing the sagging tissue. The brow is then re-suspended directly and the muscles that cause the deep furrows above the nose are cut. The incision area is virtually invisible.
