Fat Melting Blepharoplasty

What is Fat Melting Blepharoplasty?

A new wave in blepharoplasty is fat evaporation, a particular boon for eyes that simply need fat pouches removed - a condition usually seen in younger patients (45 years old and below) who don't need skin or muscle tampering.

Fat can be evaporated without making an incision at all. Instead the lower lid skin is pulled down revealing the fat below. A specially designed probe is then inserted, which flash heats the fat steaming out its water content in 2-3 seconds, instantly shrinking the pouches.

Compared with normal fat removal surgery via an incision, fat melting has advantages other than no scarring. In a study of more than 5000 cases there was no complications and the slightly concave hollow look-result of surgically removing too much fat is completely averted. Besides eliminating the risk of bleeding, this painless technique allows for faster healing (2-3 days), better and more natural shaping of the eyelid and longer lasting results.
